Mother’s Day Labor Pains
– Well hey, last week our
team threw out this idea for Mothers' Day, that Chris
and I needed to go through a simulation of the pains of childbearing. And it sounded like a
great idea last week. – Standing in the office. – Right. – Standing in the office.
– But today? – Doesn't seem like a very good idea. – Not at all. Let's go do it. – Hey Leslie, I'm John. – Hi, nice to meet you, John. – Hey Leslie, I'm Chris. – Nice to meet you, Chris. – So if you could just kind of walk us through what we're getting
ready to go through.
– [Leslie] Ideally, what
we're gonna go through is just kind of give you guys
an experience of what it would be like if you were pregnant, and going though contractions. – Can we hold hands? (laughter) – [Leslie] You can, if it helps. – I just want it to be
said that I love my mom, and I love my wife, and I'm very grateful.
And I didn't need to go through this to prove anything, okay, I
just want that to be said. – I've seen my wife
give birth twice, and… – It's not fun. – I feel like I know what
I'm in for, a little bit. – [Leslie] First thing I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna slowly ramp it
up, kind of get you guys… – Yeah.
– Okay. – [Leslie] To kind of get a feel. So what do you guys feel right now? – Kind of a lot of vibration. – A lot of vibration, and my muscles are, they feel like they're being
pulled, like apart, yeah. – So what level is that? – [Leslie] So this is,
intensity on this one is 20, right now. – And what's the high? – [Leslie] Well, we'll find out.
– (chuckles) When we start hollerin'. Ooh, felt that, ooh. (laughter) Owwww. – Yeah, that's a lot more intense. – That is a lot more intense. – What are the breathing exer– Ah, ah! (laughter) – Oh, my gosh, ah! – Ah, oh gosh! Oh, just wait, just wait for that one. – I'm already sweatin'. I gotta go to a happy
place in my mind, owwww! Oh, my. – Owwwww, oh. – I'm here for you.
– Oh, gosh. – I wanna punch you in the face so bad. – It might feel better, oh
no, oh there you go, ow! – Oh my goodness, why are we doing this? – Owwww! – Mom, I love you, Allison,
I love you so much. – [Chris] I didn't learn
this at Bible college, ah! – Hey, when we get to heaven,
women get the big crowns.
Maybe if women could have babies in pairs, go through it with a friend. – [Chris] Yeah, there you go. – Ahhh!
– Holy cow. Are we sure this isn't
doing permanent damage? – Ahh!
– Ohh! – Oh, my goodness, its's rippin'. Ahhhh… – How much longer? (chuckles) Are we going like a full hour? – Oh, come on, no, not again,
I can feel it startin' back. – Holy cow, that hurts a lot
worse, that's a lot worse. – Ahhh!
– Uh. I wanna punch you so bad in the… Owww! Holy cow! – Epidural, epidural, epidural. – I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. (laughter) – That was rough, I don't know how. – I don't really have
words, I mean, it just. – [Man] What do you
wanna say to mom, wife? – We love you.
– We love you. – Thank you. – I'm a wimp.
– Total wimp. – You're strong. – And happy Mothers' Day. – Happy Mothers' Day, yeah.
– Please have a happy Mothers' Day. – God bless you.
– You deserve it. (sweet chord).
