Early Signs of Labor

– [Narrator] Going into labor is a different experience for everybody but there are some physical
symptoms that commonly happen as labor approaches. Here are four ways you can
tell that labor is near. You have cramps. Mildly painful, these often
feel like the kind of cramps usually associated with
starting your period. Lower body pain. Pressure in your pelvis or
vagina or lower back pain comes from the baby shifting in your body. Losing your mucus plug. As labor gets closer, your cervix opens causing a mucus plug that
formed to protect your baby to dissolve. Changes to vaginal discharge. Your vaginal discharge can change color, become more watery or
feel stickier and thicker. Signs that labor is imminent
look different for everybody. If you aren't sure what
you're feeling is normal, call your doctor. They are ready to help
you every step of the way. (upbeat music).
