Pregnancy Timeline Guide
I have great news, I am pregnant and so happy about it. I have been pregnant for 12 weeks, so nearly a third of the way along the pregnancy timeline. I want to tell you all about it so that you know what to expect and know you are not alone.
As soon as I knew I was late I tested for it. It was only the first day after it was expected. I used the standard test that you can get from any pharmacist. It wasn’t clear but I was pretty sure I was pregnant. Once I overcame the excitement at the news I soon began to experience pregnancy symptoms.
The first thing I was unsure of was going to visit the doctors. At what point on the pregnancy timeline do you go? My boyfriend told me to go straightaway. There is not a lot they can do at this point but I am glad I went. You should go as soon as you can too. It will put your mind at ease. When you go you get the chance to make an appointment to see the midwife. The midwife is the person that gives you all the information that you need.
My midwife is brilliant, I am glad she is mine. She came around to my house and made me feel so comfortable. We spent nearly an hour going through the pregnancy timeline and she explained everything that I needed to do. I know exactly when my scans will be and the things I need to look out for. She was able to tell me what to expect over the coming months.
My midwife gave me the confidence to know that I would be able to handle this experience. Tiredness is a big problem for me and more than I realised. I am always feeling tired. I cannot get up in the mornings when my alarm goes and I just hit the couch when I get home.
Tiredness in not the only problem that I have had. I have also had sickness, headaches and backaches. Everything smells too. That is causing me lots of problems. I am really sensitive to smells which is not uncommon at this point on the pregnancy timeline.
