Organic Herbs Help With Fertility - Part 2
Welcome to part two of our three part series on herbal remedies for increased fertility. The natural substances talked about here are those that can be found in nature and have been utilized for decades to help increase a couple’s chance of child-bearing. Part one covered a variety of plants that increase fertility including the red clover, liferoot, wild carrot, dried clover blossom, wild yam and partridge berry. In this part we will discuss other natural plants that can be used in various time-honored preparations.
Keep an eye out this spring and see if you can catch Mitchella blooming. (These are the plants with the red berries you have seen in the forest during the winter and spring.) Medical vinegar can be made by filling a small jar with fresh leaves from this plant and then adding enough apple cider vinegar to completely fill the jar. Cover with some grease-proof paper held in place with a rubber band and label the bottle with the date, this must sit at room temperature for 6 weeks before it is ready.
You can use up to a tablespoonful of the vinegar on salads or in foods. The herb liferoot is also known as Senecio aureus begins to bloom with gorgeous gold flowers around my upstate Long Island swamp and also along the roads where the soil is loose and full of nutrients. This amazing wild flower has medicinal uses for all its parts. The root can be poisonous so I limit use to the flowers and leaves which are harvested while in bloom and processed quickly. (REMOVE) Three to eight drops of this tincture, taken for fourteen days out of each month will increase libido and stabilize the menstrual cycle to relieve unpleasant menstrual symptoms and increase fertility. I also advise that you try using Senecia jacobea and Senecio vulgaris.
