Fighting early childhood obesity is the key to having happy and healthier children.
In a world where concerned parents have to worry about what to feed their children, because of the fear of your kids becoming overweight have many people worried.
In order to eliminate this dangerous epidemic we must first learn what to feed our love ones to keep them healthy, fit and happy. We must also learn how to promote more healthful dietary intake, such as fruit, vegetables and grains. Allow your little ones to help prepare the meals, this helps to encourage healthy eating habits.
Imagine what it would be like if you had the proper guidance in dealing with this unhealthy epidemic. If you want to eliminate the problem of being overweight, here are some of the keys to your success. Remove the cookies, and replace them with strawberries, you can also replace the hot dogs with grilled chicken instead. Stop allowing your children to drink so much sugary fruit juice, replace it with water or low fat milk only. It’s not about putting them on diets, but we need to start teaching them healthy eating before bad habits are form.
Many of the kindergartners are showing up to school for the first time already chubby or fat. This is a sign that we are not in control of this epidemic. Prepare a healthy breakfast before school, studies have shown that when adolescents skip breakfast, they tend to overeat during lunch or throughout the day, thus adding on the unhealthy pounds and calories.
Get active with them, its good for the both of you, go out and play ball, dance around the house or play some basketball. The recommended guidelines of physical activity are one hour or more of moderate intensity to vigorous activity a day.
